Upcoming Summer Events

College Jump Start
On Tuesday, August 5th, the MSHS Counselors will be hosting a College Jump Start Program at Millville Senior High School on Wade Boulevard. The program is intended for seniors to get a head start on their college application process by actively working on items and asking any questions that they may have. This is designed to be a “hands-on” working session, where students will have access to computers and may conduct college searches, register for the SAT, write essays, and work on applications. The program will begin at 10:00 and students who wish to attend must register in advance by calling 327-6056. 

Freshman Boot Camp
On Wednesday, August 6th, the Millville Memorial High School Counselors will be hosting a Freshman Boot Camp. During this time, incoming Freshman will get advice on organizational skills, goal setting, and learn more about what to expect as they transition into high school. The program will last approximately 1 hour, is completely optional, and there is no obligation to attend. If you are interested in attending, please call 327-6083 for an appointment time.

NCAA Eligibility Workshop
On Thursday, August 7th, the Millville High School Counselors will be hosting an NCAA Academic Eligibility Program at Millville Senior High School on Wade Boulevard. The program is intended for student-athletes who may be interested in playing sports at the college level. The counselors will discuss the academic and testing requirements for students to be eligible to play NCAA sports. This is not a recruiting session and is designed for students and their families to have a better understanding of the coursework that they need to take in high school in order to be eligible to play sports in the NCAA. During the workshop, students will have the opportunity to look at their own transcript and compare it with the courses required by the NCAA. The program will begin at 10:00 and students who wish to attend must register in advance by calling 327-6056.

Upcoming Events: Academic Varsity Award Program

The Academic Varsity Program honors students who have maintained a 3.4 GPA each marking period or were on the Honor Roll each marking period of this school year. Students who have met the criteria will receive a letter inviting them to an evening program on May 8th at 7:00 pm to receive an Academic Varsity Award.  A list of this year’s winners is posted at Memorial and The Senior High School.  Please check with your Guidance Counselor if you have any questions or concerns.

Upcoming Events: Advanced Night at Memorial for Incoming 9th Graders

Incoming freshman, and their parents, who are registered for Advanced courses are invited to attend an informational event at Memorial High School that will start with a meeting in the Auditorium on June 3rd at 7:00pm.  After the informational meeting, Guidance Counselors will be set up in the gymnasium to distribute packets containing assigned materials to students who are in attendance.  Teachers will have space in the cafeteria for parents/students to ask questions after they get their packets.  Parents and students will also be given website information to access the summer assignments online via Millville Public Schools' official webpage.    

Upcoming Events: Advanced / AP Night at MSHS

Current high school students, and their parents, who are registered for Advanced or AP courses are invited to attend an informational event at MSHS that will start with a meeting in the Auditorium on May 15th at 7pm.  After the informational meeting, teachers will be set up in the gymnasium at tables to answer any questions about their subject and the assigned summer assignment(s).  Required books and selected materials will also be available to students who are in attendance.  Parents and students will also be given website information to access the summer assignments online via Millville Public Schools' official webpage.

Check It Out: The Guidance Department's Summer Program Bulletin

Attention: Students Currently Enrolled in a Dual Credit Course


If your student is currently enrolled in a Dual Credit class, they can choose to earn college credits through Cumberland County.  Students have received the application materials in class and must return all completed forms by February 28th if they are interested in this opportunity.  You may call 327-6083 or 327-6055 if you have any questions. 


Evening Hours


The Guidance Department at Memorial will be having Evening Office Hours on Wednesday, February 19th  from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.  Evening hours are a service provided by Millville High School Counseling to assist parents who otherwise might not be able to meet with a counselor.  They are optional and to participate you need to call for an appointment. The location for the evening hour appointments will be at Millville Senior High on Wade Blvd. Please call 327-6083 or 327-6055 / x6056 for an appointment if you would like to meet with a counselor.

2014 Spring Sports

The Millville Athletic Department would like to remind everyone that the Spring Sports season begins on Friday, March 7, 2014. Any students who wish to participate must have a current sports physical on file in the nurse’s office. Sports physicals are valid for 365 days from the date of exam. If your physical date is more than 60 days old, you must complete a re-cert form. All forms must be turned in to the school nurse. Physicals may take up to 14 days to be cleared and re-certs may take up to 48 hours to be cleared. Only athletes who are cleared can participate in practices – no exceptions. Upcoming Event: The Holly Ball

Students are eagerly awaiting the upcoming Holly Ball that is going to be held this Friday night, January 31st, at the NJ Motorsports Park from 6:30-10:30 pm.  Students are looking forward to this opportunity to have a memorable night with their friends.  Some of the nights activities are to include:  dancing to some great music with DJ Tommy, visiting the photo booth, choosing props for some extra fun, and enjoying the fabulous buffet chosen especially for this event.  The buffet is going to include: a garden salad, ham and pineapple skewers, mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce, chicken parmigiana, macaroni and cheese, cookies and brownies for dessert, and unlimited soft drinks, iced tea, and lemonade.  There will also be a photographer at the dance to capture your special memories.  Please also check out the picture packages available before Friday.  If you have any questions see your student council representatives and/or advisors.
