Cumberland County Police Youth Week Accepting Enrollment to Camp

There is a limited amount of openings left for the Cumberland County Police Youth Week, where teenagers have a chance to see what being a police officer is like.

The camp is held at Holly Heights School in Millville from Aug. 17 to Aug. 22.  Enrollment is for teenagers between 14 and 18 years old and is free — although there is a limited amount of space.

The Cumberland County Police Youth Week is done by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department, the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office, the Millville Police Department, the Bridgeton Police Department and the Vineland Police Department.

The week-long program includes physical fitness, drill ceremonies, and police functions like range instruction.  Meeting dates for the program are scheduled for July 20 and Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. at Holly Heights School.
