No Drill Instructors: MHS Freshman Boot Camp is All About High School Readiness

Drill Sergeant: Gump! What's your sole purpose in this army?
Forrest Gump: To do whatever you tell me, drill sergeant!

Forget about the push-ups. Millville High School’s new Freshman Boot Camp program was organized in an effort to prepare 9th graders for the challenges of high school. This new program was offered on July 30th and was filled with hands-on activities and lots of information for our new freshman. Students got to meet the counselors and from the icebreaker activity to the culminating “build a notebook binder” contest, had a lot of fun working in groups with new people and learning some important information. This brand-new summer program was highly successful, as we had near 40 students attended on possibly the best weather day of the summer!
